We Enrich the Sky of Commerce Education. The college aims at making its students employable and self-reliant rather than merely making them acquire a qualification. Extra-curricular activities, once a rage with the student fraternity in the state but a thing of the past now is given due importance at The Chapter as we are of the firm belief that exploring new avenues will bring about positive attitudinal changes in youngsters. As the saying goes “Change is inevitable in a progressive country” one has to move with the times. Extra-curricular activities are certain to play a vital role in moulding the character of a person. As an educational institution cannot turn a blind eye to this important aspect all-outefforts are being made with missionary zeal to nurture and promote co-curricular activities aswell. The Chapter management believes that personality traits need to be instilled in young people who are supposed to be at the vanguard of social renaissance at a later stage in their lives.
The Chapter’s baseline is “We Enrich the Sky of Commerce Education.” The college aims at making its students employable and self-reliant rather than merely making them acquire a qualification. The student should possess an outlook befitting that of a global citizen and be able to draw a distinction between good and bad and make a significant contribution towards the overall development of society in general and the individual concerned in particular.
Keeping this in view, the teachers lay a great deal of emphasis on matters related to the individual’s character and perspectives. They do their best to bring out the best in the students and make them win the respect of everyone concerned. Only those students having a vivid imagination and razor-sharp mind can set a very high standard for themselves and for others. Through education they should gain not only knowledge but also qualities such as compassion, sympathy, empathy and fellow-feeling. In the sphere of Commerce, the customer is held at very high esteem. Likewise, in every human activity involving other people “self” should be prepared to play second fiddle to the others. An average human being cannot accede to this viewpoint. Only an educated, broad-minded person can put this into practice. An ordinary person may regard this as self-deprecating. These are some of the aspects the teachers lay emphasis in the classroom.
